Taxation: We provide a full range of tax advice and services to clients on corporate, partnership, individual and trust matters. We provide tax planning for potential future transfers of business interests, including transfers to family members and employees. We are experienced in estate planning with special emphasis on business succession planning for family-owned businesses. Our practice includes international tax work as well as federal, state and local taxation. Our transactional work, particularly in the acquisition area, includes sophisticated tax planning and analysis. Senior attorney John Siegesmund supervises our tax practice, and Gil Rosenthal and Jeremy Wysocki often assist on tax matters.

Software and Technology: We are experienced in licensing and protecting proprietary rights for our clients engaged in software technology and development, as well as the special financing and other concerns of high-tech companies. We have particular expertise in contractual issues relating to confidentiality, nonsolicitation, nondisclosure and noncompetition agreements. James and Cathy Krendl's article on Noncompetition Covenants is routinely cited by Colorado courts as authority on that topic. Real Estate: Krendl Krendl Sachnoff & Way, P.C. is involved in all aspects of commercial real estate, including purchases and sales, property leases, financing and construction. We have represented developers on mountain projects, manufacturers constructing new plants and agricultural concerns on farm acquisitions and dispositions. David Cripe, Lee Sachnoff, James Krendl and Sherri Way are particularly active in our real estate practice.

Environmental Insurance Law: We have represented environmental insurance companies in numerous matters, including formation, financing, qualification and consultation in drafting new policies and designing new products. Cathy Krendl and Sherri Way are particularly experienced in this area.

Organic and Natural Foods: We represent numerous companies in Colorado and other states involved in growing, processing and distributing certified organic food products and natural food products. Lee Sachnoff has practiced extensively in this niche area, including business formation, acquisitions and financings.

Healthcare: We provide general representation of medical practices, clinics, and high technology medical service organizations. Our lawyers counsel clients concerning type of entity, tax planning, regulatory, and organizational services relating to medical joint ventures and structuring purchase and sale transactions of medical service organizations. We also represent a health insurance company in matters related to contract negotiations, insurance licensing, and securities issues. Cathy Krendl and Sherri Way have a great deal of experience in this area of our practice.

Employment Law: We represent employers in employee rights matters, such as employee sex and age discrimination claims, wage and hours disputes, OSHA issues, employment contracts, and noncompetition covenants.
